Location: Manhattan, NY

Project: 432 Park Ave Basement Leaks

System: Urethane void filling with acrylate backup

Completion: November 2018

The Mueser Rutledge engineering firm and Macklowe Properties contacted Jean’s Waterproofing, Inc. (JWI) for help stopping persistent water leaks as the 432 Park Avenue property. The project consisted of a leaking concrete wall that had been poured against an existing foundation wall. The existing wall was concrete with a 4-inch terra-cotta tile face. This presented a void problem. JWI and Mueser Rutledge decided to pump a hydrophobic/hydrophilic combination urethane into the void area. Then we pumped an acrylate behind the urethane. This combination grouting solved the leak problem permanently. JWI was then asked to install epoxy anchors into the old concrete foundation wall to hold the concrete face wall in place.
